Associate Professor of Infectious Diseases
Robin has a Masters of Science in Nursing, with an emphasis in Clinical Trials Administration, and has worked in the clinical trials field for 20 years, 18 of those at UT Health Science Center San Antonio. In the Department of Pediatrics, she coordinated studies in multiple therapeutic areas including diabetes, endocrinology, neonatology, cystic fibrosis, immunology, gastroenterology, critical care, nephrology, hematology and oncology. She supervised and mentored multiple research coordinators in the Department of Pediatrics. Robin has extensive experience in developing the logistical and operational part of a protocol, and has assisted many junior investigators and fellows in developing their projects.
With the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic she transferred to the Department of Medicine, Infectious Disease Division, where she has served as the lead COVID research coordinator. In that role, she has led a team that provides study conduct support for COVID-19 treatment, prevention and observational trials.
